Answer

How much does a gallon of epoxy cover?

A gallon (128 fl oz) of mixed epoxy flood-coats about 32 sq ft at ArtResin’s 4 fl oz per sq ft. Poured into a form, it fills about 12.8 sq ft at 1/8 in deep and 1.6 sq ft at 1 in.

Coat: area × the maker’s coverage (4 fl oz per sq ft for ArtResin). Pour: length × width × depth in cubic inches ÷ 1.805 = fl oz. Then add about 10% and split by the mix ratio.

Why a coat goes further than a pour

A flood coat spreads and self-levels over a flat surface, and makers publish coverage from their own tests. A pour into a mold or dam fills a measured volume, so it follows the geometry. If your brand’s label gives a coverage figure, use it.

On a 24 × 36 in (6 sq ft) table, about 5 flood coats with 10% extra each time.
